About the Race

XTERRA is one of the most famous off-road race series, combining a 1200 m (1.2 km) rough water swim, 25 km (15.5 mi) mountain biking, and 10 km (6.2 mi) trail run. This is no ordinary triathlon - it's a triathlon with more excitement and challenge, conquering rocky terrains and trails that overlook the breathtaking rural landscape of Furano. This race is for all athletes, regardless of level of off-road experience, especially those with a passion for outdoor sports and a splash of dirt. A Duathlon option is available for those looking for an off-road race without the water!

The XTERRA Japan Championship will be held in Hokkaido, a popular tourist destination known for its vast scenic land and delicious food. Enjoy other popular outdoor activities such as canoeing, river rafting, and cycling while visiting Furano!
