Join us for the 17th Annual Bicycle Ride in Tokyo event this April! Ride through the ever-changing landscapes of Tokyo and take in the scenery of urban sophistication. The 32KM course starts and ends at Hibiya Park and takes you through historical parts of Tokyo, such as Ningyocho, Ginza, Tokyo Station, and the Sumida River. Other notable landmarks include the National Diet Building, Tsukiji, Harumi-oohashi, Fujimi-bashi, Toyosu, Echujima, Eitai-bashi, and the Imperial Palace cycling route. Please note that the course is not closed; cyclists will ride on public roads without road closures.
Don't forget, half of your entry fees are donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, where you can help a child with life-threatening illnesses and make their wish come true!
The city of Tokyo, where the 2020 Olympics will be held is now a popular city globally. In 2017, the number of foreign visitors traveling to Tokyo was about 13.7 million which is more that the population of Tokyo at 13.5 million. This Tokyo bike ride offers an original course that introduces the popular city, and changes every year. Notable landmarks include the National Diet Building, Ginza, Tsukiji Market, and the Imperial Palace cycling route. Come experience the true Tokyo by bike!
2019 will mark the 17th time this cycling event will be held. It's a great event for families, friends, and colleagues. For those not able to bring a bike to the starting area at Hibiya Park, a bike rental service will be provided. Come out and enjoy the great city of Tokyo with us as we usher in spring!

|Remarks||RULES AND GOOD TO KNOW INFORMATION
・Bicycles must have front brakes
・Recumbent bicycles, handcycles, and electric bicycles are permitted
・Helmet and gloves are recommended (but not required)
・Bridgestone electric pedal assist bicycle will be brought to the starting area. All bicycle rentals must be booked and paid for in advance. Participants will not be able to rent a bike purely by showing up on the day of the event.
・You can choose between 3 waves, but they are first come, first served. Make sure you register early!
・10-15 participants will start at a time in 1 minute intervals

・For those who want to use a child seat, the cyclist must be 16 years or older and the child must be under 6 years old.
・The insurance will only cover the cyclist, not the child in the child seat. Cyclists may purchase additional insurance for your child for ¥1,000.
・Half of the entry fee will be donated to MAWJ (Make a Wish of Japan)
・Registration fees include event insurance for participants but do not extend to property damage or collisions with non-participants
・ No refunds or credits will be issued. This applies to incidents in which the event is cancelled for any reason including personal participant circumstances of the participant (including illness and injury) and incidents in which the event is cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions or natural disasters.
・ Event entries are non-transferable. Any person doing so will be held responsible in case of an accident arising from or provoked by the other person during the event. Participants determined to be violating this policy will be disqualified without a refund. The event organizers will reserve the right to exclude both parties from future events.
・You will not sue the event organizers nor its affiliates (including Samurai Sports) for any injury or death caused during the event.
・ You consent to and will give all authorities and copyright to the event organizer and affiliates for the use of photography, motion pictures, articles, recordings or any other record of this event (including personal information such as name, age, gender, personal record, portrait, and etc.) for legitimate purposes and use in newspapers, TV, magazines, internet and any media publishing such as (but not limited to) Facebook posts, Instagram posts, and pamphlets.
・In most cases, event guides in English will be sent via email approximately 7 to 14 days before the event. However, the delivery of event guides is entirely dependent on the timeliness of the event organizers. Samurai Sports takes approximately one to two days from receipt of the Japanese event guide to translate into English.
・If total cost is ¥10,000 or less, you will incur a flat fee service charge of ¥1,000.
・If total cost is ¥10,001 or more, you will incur a service charge amounting to 10% of total cost.
・Why the additional charges? They help us cover the cost of operating the registration platform, translation of athlete guides/event information, labor hours required to answer your event inquiries, etc. Depending on the event, the surcharges help to cover the cost of our physical presence at the event. ・The organizer is aware of the importance of your personal information. The use of personal information conforms to the organizer's privacy protection law.
