Crisp Salad Works: Healthy Eats in Central Tokyo
Get that salad fix in Tokyo
SOMETIMES, WE JUST REALLY WANT TO GRAZE ON LEAFY, HEALTHY FOOD
(AND FEEL GOOD ABOUT OURSELVES)
It’s a small splurge compared to most readily available salads but if you’re looking for a relatively volume-heavy salad bowl (and you happen to be in central Tokyo), Crisp Salad Works won’t disappoint. They've been around since 2014 so this isn't breaking news but if you're new to Tokyo, you'll want to check them out. Now let’s be honest, they don’t get points for originality with the name or concept and peak hour lines will make you want to start flipping tables. That said, we hope the range of fast casual restaurants continues to expand and with options to appease everyone, including customization, gluten free, and vegan.
Swing by one of their outlets scattered around central Tokyo (couch potatoes may elect for delivery) to make your own bowl - pick a base and select your choice of vegetables, meats, and cheeses. Alternatively, choose from their selection of signature salads and grain bowls. Don’t fancy one or more components of your salad (including the salad dressing)? No worries, substitutions are allowed. Once you’ve made your order, they’ll put everything in a bowl and a master chopper will swiftly guillotine everything to bits so small you’ll barely recognize the ingredients you’re shoveling into your hangry self
It’s a hefty amount of food for a decimated salad and well worth the price but you’ll probably be hungry again in about two hours. It’s like Chipotle but greener, healthier, and without the E.Coli.
We Recommend: The Spicy Baimai . Hell yes to the creamy sriracha dressing - adds a nice kick to all that healthy.
Where: Outlets in Ebisu, Azabu Juban, Roppongi Hills, and Daikanyama. Ubereats and Finedine also deliver.
Hours: 1100-2200 for all outlets
