Viktor: Testing Resolve in Tokyo
Samurai Sports would not happen without the men and women who keep fit and challenge themselves! In Snapshots, we ask a few questions to the men and women who excel and explore outside their comfort zones, in Japan and abroad.
How would you introduce yourself?
My name is Viktor Chan, I was born in Hong Kong and raised in New Zealand. Prior to moving to Tokyo this year, I lived in Shanghai for seven years operating my own businesses. My passions are martial arts, photography and bio hacking.
How do you pursue an active lifestyle?
I go boxing at 6:30 most mornings and I join the SOGO training in the weekends. In May, I completed the Spartan Sprint in Tokyo and am currently preparing myself for the Spartan Super in October.
Tell us about a fitness or sports-related item/gear/equipment that you love.
I love cold exposure and cryogenic tanks for muscle recovery. I would love to have one in my own home eventually!
Whether it’s in the studio, on the road, or at the pool, we know you’re working hard to log those training hours - and we want to learn more about you! Give us a holler at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be featured next - or better yet, email us with how you would answer the questions above.
