Shiho: Get Active in Tokyo with Friends <3
Samurai Sports would not happen without the men and women who keep fit and challenge themselves! In Snapshots, we ask a few questions to those who excel and explore outside their comfort zones, in Japan and abroad.
How would you introduce yourself?
My name is Shiho and I am a 19 year old college student. I am a Japanese girl born in Singapore and raised in Thailand. During my high school years, I was on a dance team and tore up the field playing both soccer and touch rugby. I love outdoor activities and moving my body around!
How do you pursue an active lifestyle?
I work at a big sports company and we host a broad range of exercise sessions every week, including endurance, kickboxing, and even mobility yoga. But most importantly, I pursue an active lifestyle by doing things that I enjoy doing. For me, I especially enjoy activities when my friends are around - it doesn’t matter whether I'm going to the gym, walking around the block, or dancing along to an aerobics DVD with friends in private.
Tell us about a fitness or sports-related item/gear/equipment that you love.
My favorite sports-related item are leggings. I believe that by choosing the right pair, leggings can make your legs look longer and stronger. I love working out when I am wearing my favorite leggings because I find it motivating to see the way my legs appear in a good pair of leggings!
Whether it’s in the studio, on the road, or at the pool, we know you’re working hard to log those training hours - and we want to learn more about you! Give us a holler at email@example.com if you would like to be featured next - or better yet, email us with how you would answer the questions above.
